Behind the Scenes with Sierra Sam

You just came back from Mexico.. How was the tour? Did you enjoy it?

Hello, yes I am just back from Mexico. I had a wonderful time there, even if I would have prefered to be with Bloody Mary (we had such an amazing time in september, 2009). I really enjoy people over there, food, weather... it is so different from Europe that it really gave me some fresh ideas and a nice kick. The tour was great, I met nice people, all the crew from C3 club, Jesus Martinez and his friends, of course Donovan who organised it for me. I cant wait to go back, probably in july.

Which difference between the Clubs in Europe and there?

It is not easy to compare clubs in Mexico and Europe. Even clubs in Europe are different from each other. I would say, mexican people are really demonstrative when they love what you do, and they really know about music. They are far away, but they are really active on the scene and know whatīs up. So you canīt fool them, you need to be good. As far as the clubs, they have all the technology you can find everywhere, I only played with amazing local artists, we even received demos and we are really talking about releasing some of their music on Toys For Boys.

Whatīs you favourite mexicain food?

Everything, I had great guacamole, good meat,... it is really healthy and spicy!!!

Who or what makes you happy in general?

A lot of things make me happy, first my good friends, my family, meeting people, traveling, laughing... I am very positive and I am easily happy in life. I think I am lucky to do what I do and live my passion.

Your plans for the summer of 2010?

Definitely go back to Mexico, enjoy Berlin, make music with Marcus Vector or Bloody Mary. We just started making music with Shonky as well. But of course go to the park, ride my bike, have fun, laugh... try to give the best of me in my music and to my friends.
